Montrose TIRZ meeting
West Alabama Street is being fully reconstructed from Shepherd Drive to Day Street, covering roadway, drainage, sidewalk, traffic, and utility improvements along the corridor. Design work is ongoing — the board budgeted $750,000 for design, and as of the September meeting, the project had spent $3,047,324 on design services and was reported at 75% complete. Construction has not yet begun.
The Authority has indicated it intends to move through the bond issuance process on an expedited timeline, with a target of roughly six weeks from the September announcement. As of this writing, the board has not released a specific dollar figure for the amount it plans to borrow.
If you have questions or want to follow this process, upcoming TIRZ 27 board meetings are open to the public.
